A client requested an adapted interpretation of the traditional poncho to a more modern look, and fit for winter. The overall design concept was relatively simple, though carefully thought out to provide the client with a garment that suits her needs. 

They wanted a garment that could be an addition to a simplistic and elegant winter outfit, using creative fashion fabrics to show an interestingly new and expensive look.

The concept was created with 3D fashion design application CLO3D / Marvelous Designer, then the pattern was used to create a physical garment. It consists of an outer shell, lining, and topstitching. The extra layer of fabric is purposely placed on the lower left shoulder to allow a right-handed wearer to easily move and manipulate the fabric into a form that fits their mood and style at the time.
